A sorting puzzle, upside down
You place the ramps. You hit run. Then you watch the machine do the work, and find out whether you were right. No timers. No randomness.
Every piece states its rule
A red ramp only moves red parcels. Blue ones fall straight through it. The arrows say which way. Nothing is hidden behind a menu.
The piece that remembers
It sends one parcel left, the next one right. You can see which way it is tipped before the parcel arrives. That is the whole tell.
A ramp only touches parcels of its own colour. A grey one touches everything. You never have to guess what a piece will do.
Each bin asks for an exact number. Send it one parcel too many and the run is lost. Dumping everything in one place is the fastest way to fail.
There is no dice roll anywhere. If a run fails, it failed because of where you put a piece, and you can fix exactly that.
You spend your time deciding, not waiting. Miss it and you can watch it again.
Once the machine starts, you cannot touch it. Every parcel goes exactly where you decided it would go, back when you were sure.
You watch a red parcel head for a blue bin and there is nothing to do but watch it arrive.
Move one rail. Press run again. Nothing is lost, nothing is scolded, and the board is waiting exactly as you left it.
Every parcel lands where it belongs, one after another, and the thing you built does the work without you. That is the whole feeling.
